Body Autonomy & The Health Industrial Complex – An interview with 3CR Community Radio

Natural Births in Hospital

This episode of Women on The Line we look at women, their bodies and the institutions which attempt to govern us – the health and medical industries.

We’ll hear from Sheridon Byrne, a feminist activist, doula and educator, about birthing challenges and the struggles that women and other birthing people face to birth on their terms.

You’ll also hear from Sangeetha Thanapal about issues surrounding fat identity, race, intersectionality, the gender pay gap and the experiences of marginality, stigma and discrimination that fat women experience.

Sheridon was interviewed by 3CR community radio for Women on the Line.
